Welcome new members Rick Dumm and Don Syme’s.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;President’s Report&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Holiday Party is set for Thursday, December 8th. The Cash Bar will open at 6pm with dinner following at 7pm. Hold Park and depart the boat ramp at 9am. &amp;nbsp;We are diving with Crystal Lodge Dive Center. &amp;nbsp;It’s $10 per diver. &amp;nbsp;Water temperature is 72 year round, 10 to 25 feet deep and very clear.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SPRING 2012&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;June 23rd &amp;amp; 24rd and August 18th &amp;amp; 19th &amp;nbsp;- Venice Shark Tooth Dive with Florida West Scuba and Charters. &amp;nbsp;Morning dives, arrive no later than 7am. &amp;nbsp;12 spots are reserved. &amp;nbsp;Tanks and weights included in the price. &amp;nbsp;We will get an updated dive price in January and have sign up sheets available at the February meeting.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;EARLY SUMMER 2012&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;USS Oriskany (Pensacola) &amp;nbsp;We have eight divers signed up. &amp;nbsp;Have to be an Advanced Diver&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bonaire - Approx. $1,200 to $1,500. &amp;nbsp;For more information from Marshall Gross.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Cozumel - Early June, nine days in Mexico, approx. $1,800 to $1,900 includes everything from the flights to food, drinks, dive, etc. &amp;nbsp;Hotel Cozumel. &amp;nbsp;For more information please see Marshall Gross.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;North Carolina Wreck Dive - July 21st - 27th with Discovery Diving. &amp;nbsp;John DeRemer is setting this dive trip up. &amp;nbsp;It will be combined with a former dive group out of NJ. &amp;nbsp;He booked a whole week; so everyone has greater flexibility in scheduling his/her dives. &amp;nbsp;You should be an Advanced Diver or have numerous ocean dives under your belt. I t was an excellent presentation.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Talked about lionfish, scorpion fish, jelly fish, man of wars, bristle worms, sea urchins and the very dangerous cone shells! Cone shells stings are very dangerous and a sting needs immediate medical attention.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;There was a Tampa area story that a scuba tank had exploded and killed someone. After getting into the water he claimed he couldn’t pee because he was so cold.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Coprolite Award&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wayne LeClaire was nominated. &amp;nbsp;When Wayne surfaced from his dive, the water had gotten rough. &amp;nbsp;He unfortunately hit the propellor while trying to climb the ladder. &amp;nbsp;He ended up having 12 stitches. &amp;nbsp;No one voted for Wayne to receive the award.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;How many dives?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The current total of dives completed by the club is&amp;nbsp;22069&amp;nbsp;for 56 divers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Good of the Order&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Annette and Monster Molyneux have each achieved their 100th dive. Glenn Akins will be the new Dive Coordinator for the rest of the year. The Picnic/Gear Swap will be held this Saturday, August 6th. &amp;nbsp;The Swap will start at 2pm and we will be eating around 4pm. Everyone attending is asked to BYOB and a dish. Check the NASJAX website for directions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Vice President Report&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The next E-Board Meeting will be held at the Bob Evans on Wednesday, August 9th. Dinner will be at 6pm and the meeting will follow at 7pm. All are welcome to attend. We will be discussing the Statement of Club Events and Policies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The application of Chris Lynch and Katie Ayler was voted on. It was voted on and approved by the club members.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Financial Statement&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The club is currently good financial standing. The Holiday Party deposit is due to be paid next week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Secretary’s Report&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The August Roster was handed out to all members.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Dive Coordinator&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Glen Akins was unable to attend tonights meeting as he is in Puerto Rico diving. It was a tranquil location with no telephones or TV. He was able to snorkel with golden rays and went diving with whale sharks. One 15ft. whale shark was even asleep. A three hour boat trip produced about 75 to 100 whale sharks with the largest being 30 ft. long. Check out the San Diego Shark Divers Website to see the video.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Four divers went to Venice. Elmer Osborne found a beautiful tooth during a shore dive. Dave Martin also found some nice teeth. Some small teeth and horse teeth were found. Dave and Elmer did a beach dive and saw a lot of small wild life.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Rick Rickert went diving off the shores of Jacksonville. It was mini lobster season, but he didn’t get any.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Chris Rule dived off Boynton Beach, FL and experienced some rough seas. He did some deeper dives on the outer reef. He saw a mature turtle with a large gash in its shell either from a boat of something that wanted to eat it.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;How many dives????&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The current total of dives completed by the club is&amp;nbsp;22,027&lt;br /&gt;for 49 divers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Prizes&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;"&gt;REMEMBER&lt;/span&gt; - We have &lt;a href="http://www.nasjaxscubadivers.org/club_store.html"&gt;Club Merchandise for SALE&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Orders are now being taken for club polo shirts. The response was that everyone enjoyed the meal. Dave will go back and let management know. We need 20 people to eat and this month we had 29 and a youth.&lt;br /&gt;The Earth Day Dive was a huge success. The divers covered over 600 yards and brought up approximately 450 lbs of garbage.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;"&gt;Vice President Report&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;John DeRemer made the motion to accept Bernard “Gene” and Michelle Rosseling into the dive club. The members unanimously passed the vote. Chris Lynch, Katie Aylor and Major Nimock put in their applications to the Club.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;"&gt;CHANGE OF VENUE&lt;/span&gt; - Next month the E-Board Meeting will be held at the Village Inn at 10140 San Jose Blvd. on Wednesday, May 11th. The weather was rainy and the water was silty.He did a wall dive and an artificial reef where the visability was limited.He also dive the Piton Wall.The water was gin clear.He didn’t see anything large.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Marshall got to see the inside of Dallas, Ft. He caught his largest lobster yet&amp;nbsp; weighing in at 8 lbs.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Art La Rue brought in some artifacts from Cumberland Island.&amp;nbsp; He caught the ferry off St. Mary’s and went on a 4 day backpacking trip.&amp;nbsp; Art found fossils, sharks teeth lying on the road, whale vertebrae, fish vertebra, whale ear bones and a sperm whale tooth.&amp;nbsp;
